Frida and Harriet’s children

a writing workshop for sick and disabled QTBIPOC

What does it mean to write from a disability justice poetic lineage? In this workshop, we will read work by disabled poets queer/ of color like Stacey Milbern, Aurora Levins Morales, Cyree Jarelle Johnson, Leroy Moore, Lateef McCloud, Laura Hershey, Raymond Antrobus, June Jordan and Audre Lorde, and write our own work out of sick, disabled Deaf and Mad and neurodivergent writing space. We will co-create a community of trust where we dream our sick and disabled QTBIPOC histories and futures into print. This is a closed space for people who identify as chronically ill, disabled, Mad/ mentally ill, neurodivergent and/or Deaf or hard of hearing queer/ trans Black and brown people.
