Krip Resistence: To Exist Is To Resist

January 11, 12, 19, 20, 2018

an exploration of sick and disabled QT/POC ancestors and legacies of resistance.
Gay City Arts Calamus Auditorium, Seattle Washington

What would Marsha P Johnson, Leslie Feinberg and our sick and disabled queer grandparents have to say about fighting to survive and win in these times? Sick and disabled queer/ trans people have always resisted, from colonial invasion to nursing homes to freak shows to street based queer and trans activism. We are heroes, fighters and survivors and we have the medicine we need to survive Trump. In this star-studded sick and disabled QT/POC show, curated by billie rain and Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, come witness Seattle based disabled queer/ of color artists performing new work reflecting on the resistance wisdom of our disabled queer ancestors.
